How is in-hand salary estimated?
This simplified calculator converts annual CTC into a monthly amount, subtracts employer PF included in CTC to estimate cash gross, and then subtracts employee PF, TDS and other deductions.
Formula used
Estimated monthly cash gross = (Annual CTC ÷ 12) − employer PF included in CTC. Estimated in-hand = monthly cash gross − employee PF − monthly TDS − other deductions.
Frequently asked questions
Is employer PF deducted twice?
Employer PF is generally an employer contribution that may be included within the stated CTC. Employee PF is a separate deduction from the employee's eligible salary. Check your offer letter and payslip to see how each is treated.
Does this calculate exact income tax?
No. Enter your own estimated monthly TDS. Tax depends on the applicable financial year, tax regime, exemptions, deductions and other income.
